The spine is considered the supporting axis of our entire body. In this specific area, many of us suffer from various pathologies.
Increasing mobility, keeping the intervertebral muscles active, and hydrating our vertebrae through movement, will help us alleviate various pathologies and prevent new ones from arising.
The benefits don’t just stop at the delimited area of the column, our internal organs will also benefit from it. The spinal cord is closely linked with our brain and the rest of the body since it is a communication channel.
To keep in mind: during Yoga practice, especially in extension poses, it is essential to listen to your breathing, to avoid getting hurt.
Before each extension, inhaling, we stretch the column upwards, the chest points to the sky, and then, subsequently, exhaling, I search for the extension, always without collapsing on the dorsal area and thinking instead of stretching every single vertebra.
