You want very luminous skin like the ones you see on TikTok, but without a filter, we reveal how to do skincare and which products to use. You can thank us later.
It’s a time when we like everything glazed. Glazed donut nails first and then glazed donut lips drove us crazy, but at the moment what we are obsessed with is glazed skin. All thanks to Hailey Bieber, who between one feud and another also finds the time to make TikToks that inspire us.
Let’s be clear right away, the glazed skin – which for years we have called glass skin – is nothing new that Mrs. Bieber invented, but just a Korean technique for glowing skin that she put into practice to promote her Rhode skincare line.
Someone will talk about oily skin, but it’s not like that. Oily skin and glowing skin are two very different things because what we want is a radiant effect given by the wise use of our skincare products. Proof of the fact that glowing skin is very popular can be found in a couple of 2022 skincare trends that were raging (always on TikTok) until recently, namely slugging and reverse skincare. And it may surprise you to know this, but even those with combination and oily skin may want glazed skin, just mix sebum-regulating products and continue to give hydration.
Without too much delay we therefore turned to the experts of Innisfree, a skincare brand made in Korea, which are very expert in glass skin, or glazed skin and immediately revealed that “a complete skincare routine and a good knowledge of the needs of our skin are the basis for a Korean glass skin ”.
KOREAN GLASS SKIN
So how many and what are the steps of this skincare routine? We know the Korean one is famous for being long and sometimes laborious, but here’s a spoiler: it’s not ten.
“It all starts with double cleansing, first with an oil cleanser and then a foamer,” says the Innisfree expert. Double cleansing is not a whim and those who already do it know it well: “Double cleansing is used to remove all traces of dirt to avoid any possible cause of imperfections”. The second phase is “a gentle exfoliation that removes dead cells, followed by a tonic that prepares the skin to receive the subsequent skincare steps. Only skincare fans use the essence, which thanks to its subtle texture helps retain hydration and nourishment. We then move on to serum, eye and face cream, and finally sunscreen, the most important step because it reduces the damage caused by daily aggressions”.
GLASS SKIN PRODUCTS
Having glazed skin is work, sure, but you also need the right skincare products. “It is important to use highly moisturizing products that counteract dull complexions, promoting glowing skin”.
You’ve probably noticed that Innisfree’s Jelly Cream is super viral because it’s featured in most of the videos that explain how to get glazed skin. “Our Jelly Cream is ideal for nourishing and brightening the skin. If you don’t want/can’t give up the foundation, we suggest mixing them to further amplify the luminous effect”.
