Motorola Edge 20 Series Coming in August 2021

Motorola unveiled the new Edge 20 series, consisting of three models: Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro and Edge 20 Lite.

Let’s go and discover them together!

Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Let’s start with the most performing device of the series, Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The manufacturer has renounced the use of curved edges to differentiate itself from competitors, preferring to work on reducing the thickness of the frames; all three Edge 20 series devices feature a Max Vision Full HD + OLED display with a 6.7 ” diagonal capable of supporting a refresh rate of up to 144Hz (with Edge 20 Lite stopping at 90Hz).

Under the body we find a Snapdragon 870 processor, with support for Qualcomm’s Elite Gaming technology to offer better performance when playing games and accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 internal memory.

A 4,500mAh battery completes the picture, which supports, like those of the other two models, Turbo Power fast charging at 30W.

On the back we find three photographic sensors: a 108MP main one, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens equipped with 5X optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). From 32MP, however, the front camera.

Edge 20 Pro is capable of recording videos in 8K and offers several features such as Super Slow Motion, 4 times slower than a standard slow motion, multi frame Bokeh and Audio Zoom.

Another rather interesting function is the Ready For mode, thanks to which it is possible to connect the smartphone (via wireless or thanks to the appropriate cable) to an external monitor, to a PC or to a TV, which can be used to play, to play multimedia content or to make video calls using the rear camera of the smartphone as a webcam.

Then we have Motorola Edge 20, equipped with the same display as its older brother in which a 32MP front camera is embedded. Under the body we always find a Snapdragon SoC, the 778G, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal memory or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal memory, in both cases not expandable.

On the back we always find three lenses: a 108MP main lens, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens equipped with 3X optical zoom and OIS. This Setup, in addition to including functions also present on the Pro version, is however able to record videos at the maximum resolution of 4K.

Motorola Edge 20 Lite

Finally, we come to the cheapest model, Motorola Edge 20 Lite. It is a smartphone equipped with a Max Vision Full HD + OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, with a hole that houses a 32MP front camera.

To power it a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, flanked by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, this time expandable via Micro SD up to 1TB. We also find a large 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging at 30W.

The photographic sector consists of 3 sensors: a 108MP main one, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 119 ° field of view and a 2MP depth sensor.
