Which Hair Length Suits You The Most?

Here's the rule to figure out which cut suits you best.

To cut or not to cut hair? It is the eternal technological dilemma that afflicts everyone at least once in their life.
Going to the hairdresser and falling back on a “safe” haircut or choosing a completely different look that is out of your comfort zone?
Often in stressful or not particularly happy times, you feel the desire for a change, which most often takes the form of a drastic haircut.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

This happens because new positive energy is hidden behind every renewal: there is the will to leave behind a now-closed chapter of one's life, to be daring, and above all to appear different.

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE CHANGE OUR HAIRCUT IN OUR LIFETIME?

The Hair Stylist Andrew Collin g conducted a survey of 3,000 women, it emerged that in the course of our lives, we change our haircut an average of 104 times and at least 3 times the color. The explanation is soon said: we are constantly evolving, not only physically but also mentally.

However, changing your haircut can make you feel insecure or doubtful. It's normal, you don't know what to expect and you're afraid of regretting your previous look.
Seeing you with your usual hairstyle makes you calmer, but in the long run, the curiosity of seeing you differently will resurface.

LEARN ABOUT THE 5.5 CM RULE

Don't worry, if mathematics and geometry aren't your callings, you can rest easy: you don't need a review of the algebraic formulas, and you don't even need to go to the hairdresser. According to John Frieda's experts, the perfect hair length depends on the angle of your jaw. The formula uses a ratio that considers the length between the chin and the earlobe to determine whether long or short hair flatters us more. If the distance measured is less than 5.5 cm, you may be better off with a pixie cut or a bob. If it is more than 5.5cm, the hair is longer (theoretically) and more suitable for you. You can find out easily at home. All you need is a ruler, a pencil and a mirror.

HOW TO APPLY THE 5.5 CM RULE?

  • FIRST, STAND IN FRONT OF A MIRROR
  • TAKE THE PENCIL AND PLACE IT HORIZONTALLY UNDER YOUR CHIN
  • POSITION THE RULER AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE PENCIL AND PUSH IT UP TO THE EARLOBE
  • MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM THE EARLOBE TO THE CHIN VERTICALLY DOWNWARDS.
  • CHECK THE RESULT!

SHORT OR LONG HAIR? WHAT ARE THE FACTORS TO KEEP IN MIND BESIDES THE 5.5 CM RULE?

Of course, personal style comes into play -- don't let a mathematical formula get in the way of your aesthetic taste.
